malic acid, blood biochemical, male Arabi lambsAbstract
The aim of the study was investigating the effect of two types of feed (pellet and crushed) with the level of malic acid and the interaction between them on some biochemical (cholesterol, glucose, total protein, albumin, urea) and the rumen parameters (length and width of the papillae) in Arabi lambs. The results showed that the pelleted diet, the level of 4gm of malic acid/kg of feed, and the interaction between them was superior in decreasing cholesterol, increasing glucose, total protein and albumin, lowering blood urea and exceeding papillae rumen length.
